Wankernomics - 3 camera shoot

Filmed in a sold out 750-seat Pleasance Grand, this

two-person show utilised a three-camera setup. A wide camera positioned at the back captured the entire stage and projection screen, while two cross-shooting cameras tracked each performer individually.

Please note, audio has been muted for this performance to protect the show's copyright.

Edinburgh Days - 5 camera shoot

The Auditorium at St Bride's Community Centre served as the venue for this Celtic Rock Opera. To capture the very large cast, we designated one constant wide view of the stage alongside two operators focused on lead close ups and two positioned further back for dynamic shots.

The recording utilised a direct audio feed from the venue sound desk.

Rift - 3 camera shoot

Filming this Scotsman Fringe First winning production inside Traverse 2 presented a unique layout challenge, as the physical space required all cameras to be positioned entirely on one side. To successfully cover all angles of this two person show, operators had to constantly shift focus and swap which performer they were tracking. We coordinated this complex shoot through live direction.

Please note, audio has been muted for this performance to protect the show's copyright.

Escape The Noise - 3 camera shoot

Set in a very low light black box venue within Central Hall, this production featured a large cast constantly rotating through the spotlight. This dynamic staging required our operators to remain highly reactive to ensure whoever held the focus was cleanly captured at all times.

Because the performers were unmicced and no venue audio feed was available, we deployed our own omni directional microphone setup to record the room.

Moon Dragon - 2 camera shoot

To adhere to strict child privacy rules, we had to set up our equipment side by side at the very back of the room. From this specific vantage point, one operator maintained a wide shot of the whole set while the other tracked both performers, successfully navigating drastic lighting changes that often plunged the room into near darkness.

For audio, we supplied two lapel mics and independently mic'd the live piano, seamlessly mixing the separate feeds together in post production.

Seating Plan - 2 camera shoot

Space was incredibly tight inside the sold out 40 seat Nip room at Gilded Balloon's Patter Hoose. Squeezed directly beside the tech desk, one camera maintained a continuous wide two shot while the other captured varying close ups.

With frequent costume changes ruling out lapels, we carefully positioned omni directional microphones to cleanly record the performance and avoid sound bleed from neighbouring rooms.
